Piepenbrock Implements Innerspace’s VR Simulator for GMP Cleanroom Training

Innsbruck, Austria, 09.07.2024 – We are excited to announce that Piepenbrock, a leading provider of facility management and cleaning services, will be using our Innerspace Virtual-Reality (VR) Cleanroom Simulator to offer comprehensive GMP cleanroom training starting November 2024. These two-day hybrid courses will be held at Piepenbrock’s dedicated Cleanroom Training Center in Osnabrück (Germany), combining theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice.

Piepenbrock is the first training provider in Germany to integrate our VR Simulator into their training programs.

In critical aseptic environments, employee qualification is crucial. Innerspace provides the effective training package that complements our program.

Norbert Gürke

Head of Technical Management for Cleanroom Cleaning at Piepenbrock

Our simulator allows cleanroom personnel to train in a virtual cleanroom environment, that extends the training experience with visualizing otherwise invisible elements like airflow or contamination. “In critical aseptic work environments, employee qualification is crucial. With Innerspace, we have found a training provider whose package guarantees effective and realistic training for participants,” says Norbert Gürke, Head of Technical Management for Cleanroom Cleaning at Piepenbrock.

Trainees will use VR headsets to immerse themselves in a three-dimensional cleanroom environment, where theoretical knowledge is reinforced through precise instructions, specific work steps, and comprehensive error analysis with direct feedback. This training is then practically applied in Piepenbrock’s Cleanroom Training Center.

Well-Equipped for Aseptic Work Environments

The two-day hybrid training course is designed for professionals regularly working in aseptic cleanroom environments, including personnel from the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries in production, filling, quality assurance, and technology, as well as pharmacy staff. Participants will learn cleanroom behavior according to GMP guidelines and gain an understanding of microbiological and particulate contamination and the correct movement speed, which is precisely measured in our VR simulator. Additionally, the training covers a holistic understanding of Contamination Control Strategy (CCS) and includes aseptic gowning processes. The first training session with our Innerspace VR Cleanroom Simulator is scheduled for November 2024, with additional sessions planned for 2025.
